Visit Rabac while Sailing

Rabac is a popular tourist destination on the east coast of Istria, southeast of Labin. The bay provides sheltered anchorage. Nearby sailing destinations include the towns of Pula and Opatija, as well as the islands in the Kvarner Bay.

The crystal clear sea and the beaches with sport facilities make Rabac one of the most important seaside resorts on the eastern coast of Istria. The beaches of the "The Pearl of the Kvarner bay", Maslinica, St Andrea, Lanterna and Girandella, boast the Blue Flag status.

Maslinica is a 500m long pebble beach. There are many restaurants and bars near the beach, as well as sport facilities. Enjoy your stay on the Lanterna Beach, surrounded with pine trees. Lanterna offers plenty of water sports activities. St Andrea Beach is located next to the tourist resorts and hotels. The beach is both sandy and rocky.

There are several excellent restaurants in the vicinity. Girandella is a pebble beach, situated next to the Girandella tourist village. If you are interested in water sports, visit the diving center or try water skiing. Girandella beach hosts a popular electronic music festival in summer.

You can visit the numerous restaurants on the seaside promenade. Among gastronomical specialties, make sure to try the Kvarner scampi.

There are many interesting destinations in the vicinity of Rabac. Labin is located 5 km inland. The medieval town on a hill offers great views of the nearby island of Cres. The town museum in Labin exhibits a reconstruction of a coal mine since the town was once an important mining location. There are numerous hiking paths and mountain-bike trails in the vicinity of Labin.

Charter a yacht and explore the area around Rabac. Popular Croatian nearby sailing destinations include the towns of Pula, Opatija and Rovinj, and the islands in the Kvarner bay: Krk, Cres and Rab.
